programming:lisp:List processing commands

CAR - returns the first element of the list.
CDR - returns everything but the first element of the list.
CADR - returns the second element of the list.
CADDR - returns the third element of the list.
NTH - returns the nth element of the list.
APPEND - returns any lists passed to it concatenated together as a single list.
LAST - returns the last element.
LENGTH - returns the number of elements in the list.
MEMBER - if the first argument is found to be an element of the list, that element plus the rest of the list is returned.
REVERSE - returns a copy of a list with the elements in reverse order.
SUBST - returns a list with every instance of the second argument in the list replaced by the first argument.
