  1. download from microchip PK2CMD V1.20 Linux Kernel 2.6 Executable Binary
  2. extract files
  3. mkdir /usr/local/bin
  4. copy pk2cmd to that directory
  5. change permissions so the file can be executed: sudo chmod 655 pk2cmd
  6. mkdir /usr/share/pk2
  7. copy PK2DeviceFile.dat to that directory
  8. add to the .bashrc file: 
    PATH=$PATH:/usr/share/pk2
export PATH
