Name objects are prefixed with a forward slash (/) to indicate a name object follows, followed by zero or more 8-bit characters.

The number sign (#) is an escape character used to indicate the two following hexadecimal characters are the hex value of that character.

5C represents a back slash

Characters outside of the range 0x21 (!) to 0x7E (~) should be represented with the hexadecimal notation.
