Isaiah 2:12-22
For the LORD of armies will have a day of reckoning
Against everyone who is arrogant and haughty,
And against everyone who is lifted up,
That he may be brought low.
And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up,
Against all the oaks of Bashan,
Against all the lofty mountains,
Against all the hills that are lifted up,
Against every high tower,
Against every fortified wall,
Against all the ships of Tarshish
And against all the delightful ships.
And the pride of humanity will be humbled
And the arrogance of people will be brought low;
And the LORD alone will be exalted on that day,
And the idols will completely vanish.
People will go into caves of the rocks
And into holes in the [fn]ground
Away from the terror of the LORD
And the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to terrify the earth.
On that day people will throw away to the moles and the bats
Their idols of silver and their idols of gold,
Which they made for themselves to worship,
In order to go into the clefts of the rocks and the crannies of the cliffs
Before the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to terrify the earth.
[fn]Take no account of man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils;
For [fn]why should he be esteemed?
Mat 13:36-43 NASB20
Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him and said, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field." And He said, "The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, and the field is the world; and [as for] the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the weeds are the sons of the evil [one;] and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. "So just as the weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and they will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. "Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH LIKE THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father. The one who has ears, let him hear.
Mat 24:15-28 NASB20
"Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place--let the reader understand-- then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. "Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get things out of his house. "And whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. "But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days! "Moreover, pray that when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will [again.] "And if those days had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. "Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or '[He is over] here,' do not believe [him.] "For false christs and false prophets will arise and will provide great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. "Behold, I have told you in advance. "So if they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness,' do not go out; [or,] 'Behold, He is in the inner rooms,' do not believe [them.] "For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. "Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
Luk 19:41-44 NASB20
When He approached [Jerusalem,] He saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you had known on this day, even you, the [conditions] for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. "For the days will come upon you when your enemies will put up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, and they will level you to the ground, and [throw down] your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation."
Luk 21:20-28 NASB20
"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near. "Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are inside the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter the city; because these are days of punishment, so that all things which have been written will be fulfilled. "Woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath to this people; and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until [the] times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. "There will be signs in [the] sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting from fear and the expectation of the things that are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. "And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
Luk 23:27-31 NASB20
Now following Him was a large crowd of the people, and of women who were mourning and grieving for Him. But Jesus turned to them and said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. "For behold, days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are those who cannot bear, and the wombs that have not given birth, and the breasts that have not nursed.' "Then they will begin TO SAY TO THE MOUNTAINS, 'FALL ON US,' AND TO THE HILLS, 'COVER US.' "For if they do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?"
Mar 13:14-23 NASB20
"Now when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where it should not be--let the reader understand--then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. "Whoever is on the housetop must not go down, nor go in to get anything out of his house. "And whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. "But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days! "Moreover, pray that it will not happen in winter. "For those days will be such a [time of] tribulation as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will [again.] "And if the Lord had not shortened [those] days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. "And then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ'; [or,] 'Look, there [He is]'; do not believe [it;] for false christs and false prophets will arise, and will provide signs and wonders, in order to mislead, if possible, the elect. "But beware; I have told you everything in advance.
