 win32 msgs: WM_MDITILE

An application sends the WM_MDITILE message to a multiple document interface (MDI) client window to arrange all of its MDI child windows in a tile format.

To send this message, call the SendMessage function with the following parameters.

    SendMessage( 
      (HWND) hWnd,              // handle to destination window 
      WM_MDITILE,               // message to send
      (WPARAM) wParam,          // tiling option
      (LPARAM) lParam           // not used; must be zero
    );

Parameters

• wParam Specifies the tiling option. This parameter can be one of the following values, optionally combined with MDITILE_SKIPDISABLED to prevent disabled MDI child windows from being tiled. Value Meaning MDITILE_HORIZONTAL Tiles windows horizontally. MDITILE_VERTICAL Tiles windows vertically.
• lParam This parameter is not used.

Return Values

If the message succeeds, the return value is TRUE.

If the message fails, the return value is FALSE.

  Windows NT/2000 or later: Requires Windows NT 3.1 or later.
  Windows 95/98/Me: Requires Windows 95 or later.
  Header: Declared in Winuser.h; include Windows.h.
