 win32 msgs: WM_MDIGETACTIVE

An application sends the WM_MDIGETACTIVE message to a multiple document interface (MDI) client window to retrieve the handle to the active MDI child window.

To send this message, call the SendMessage function with the following parameters.

    SendMessage( 
      (HWND) hWnd,              // handle to destination window 
      WM_MDIGETACTIVE,          // message to send
      (WPARAM) wParam,          // not used; must be zero
      (LPARAM) lParam           // maximized state (LPBOOL)
    );

Parameters

• wParam This parameter is not used.
• lParam Specifies the maximized state. If this parameter is not NULL, it is a pointer to a value that indicates the maximized state of the MDI child window. If the value is TRUE, the window is maximized; a value of FALSE indicates that it is not. If this parameter is NULL, the parameter is ignored.

Return Values

The return value is the handle to the active MDI child window.

  Windows 95/98/Me: Requires Windows 95 or later.
